Dubai Mall is the world’s largest destination for shopping, entertainment and leisure, located next to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Featuring over 1,200 retail stores, two major department stores and hundreds of food and beverage outlets, Dubai Mall covers more than 1 million sqm – an area equivalent to 200 football pitches. For lovers of high fashion, over 70 signature outlets beckon your attention, including retailers such as Bloomingdale’s and Galeries Lafayette, the first in the Middle East. For haute couture, head to Fashion Avenue and the latest collections from world-famous brands such as Versace, Burberry and more. You can also find the finest gold jewellery in the Gold Souk as well as the latest in footwear at Level Shoes. The world’s largest mall has grown even larger with the 2019 opening of Dubai Mall Zabeel, a significant expansion that welcomed a host of new lifestyle experiences, dining options, retail options and 3,000 new parking spaces. The Zabeel extension adds almost 15,000sqm of lifestyle space, with an incredible array of art on display – all linked by a fully air-conditioned link bridge from Dubai Mall. One fantastic feature of many Dubai Mall restaurants is the stunning view of The Dubai Fountain and the Burj Khalifa – head to Joe’s Café, Novikov Café, or WAFI Gourmet for some of the best views. Alternatively, grab some food to go and head out of Dubai Mall’s lower-ground floor to get even closer to the Dubai Fountain, or check out some other venues with great views nearby. In 2023, Dubai Mall opened its Chinatown district, the first in Dubai, and decorated with traditional Chinese features, along with a giant panda sculpture and striking neon lights. Chinatown is home to great Chinese and Asian street food – be sure not to miss Hawker Chan, the Dubai branch of Singapore’s Michelin-starred eatery. A handy four-star hotel is the Manzil Downtown by Vida, located opposite Palace Downtown, and a great three-star Dubai Mall property is Rove Downtown, just a few minutes' walk away from the mall. There are plenty more hotels near Dubai Mall, so look around for the best choice for you. How to get to Dubai Mall You can easily get to Dubai Mall using the following public transportation options:

  • Dubai Metro: The metro’s Red Line has a dedicated Dubai Mall station. Once you’re on the Red Line, get off at the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall stop, which is connected to the mall via a footbridge. It is easy to get to the mall directly from Dubai International Airport (DXB) – simply make your way to the station at Terminal 1 and get on the Red Line heading to EXPO Metro Station.

  • Bus: Bus routes with a stop here include 27, 28, 29, 30, 50 and 81. From a popular site like Global Village, the shortest journey to Dubai Mall involves taking bus 104 to Al Jafiliya metro station, and continuing to the mall.
